Adult Classes
Adult tuition includes all clay and glazes. Students will need to
buy their own tools; a basic tool kit is available for $10 at the first class. Firing fees
will be calculated at 3 cents per cubic inch, which includes both the bisque and glaze firing.
An Introduction to Clay
Acquaint yourself with the medium of clay. This class will cover the
fundamentals of handbuilding and wheel throwing. Beginners and those who have no clay experience
are encouraged to take this class. Basic glazing and decorating techniques will be covered.

Beginning Wheel
This class will cover the basics of wheel throwing, from learning to
center the clay to forming basic shapes like cylinders and bowls. Handle making and finishing
techniques will be covered as well as glazing and decoration.

Beyond the Basics
OK, so you get the idea, now what? In this class we will begin to explore
the endless possibilities of form and surface. Lidded vessels, pitchers, plates and vases are
among the pots you will be making. Hone your skills and push your limits!

Hand Building
If throwing is not your cup of tea, then this is the class for you!
We will teach you how to use the age old techniques of pinching, coiling and slab building. Make
functional pieces or move in a more sculptural direction. Decorative and glazing techniques will
be covered.
